Chamber Music Northwest seeks a full-time, seasonal Marketing & Patron Services Intern for its 2013 Summer Festival. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn more about behind-the-scenes activities at a major arts festival, and to gain valuable, practical skills in leadership, customer service, non-profit marketing, and arts administration. The Marketing & Patron Services intern will work closely with CMNW’s Marketing Director and box office staff to help provide friendly, informed, professional customer care.

Salary / Pay Rate:$1000-1500 stipend for Summer Festival

Required Skills and Abilities:Interest in arts administration, communications, arts marketing, and /or non-profit management Excellent interpersonal skills, in both face-to-face and telephone interactions, especially with those age 55+ Excellent writing, research and analytical skills Sound discretion, tact, diplomacy and graciousness with different personalities and working and communication styles Personable, friendly, customer service-oriented demeanor Ability to thrive in an environment where tasks and priorities shift quickly and often Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills; advanced skills with technology; impeccable attention to detail; positive energy and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed. This highly visible position requires flexibility, and an ability to retain composure under pressure. The successful candidate will demonstrate availability, energy, willingness and stamina to work long days including evenings and weekends.
