VEDA is the leading international organization that people turn to for help with vestibular (inner ear balance) disorders. We are an authoritative source of information, publishing information that is clear, reliable, and scientifically objective. VEDA supports people with vestibular disorders by connecting them to health care specialists and support networks. VEDA promotes awareness for vestibular disorders through testimony and advocacy.

VEDA is currently seeking a Membership & Development Coordinator. The membership and development coordinator will take the lead on recruiting, cultivating and stewarding members, participate in membership communication efforts, and assist with fund development activities. Under the direction of the development director, this position will oversee the implementation of a new membership program, which includes both patient and professional membership. Membership responsibilities include membership cultivation and retention, identifying and soliciting new members, development of membership marketing materials, and reporting. Outreach responsibilities include customer service and social media. This position will also support the development director with fundraising campaigns.

¨       Have 2-3 years experience working with a membership program.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

¨       Assist with maintaining an accurate database of members/donors.

¨       Perform statistical tracking that enables an assessment of trends and historical data.

¨       Leadership of member/donor recognition, retention and renewal programs.

¨       In collaboration with the development director, take an active role in prospecting new members/donors.

¨       Perform database queries and other administrative tasks.

¨       Provide monthly reports of all member/donor activity that measures retention and new member/donor recruitment.

¨       Participate on assigned committees.

¨       Manage volunteers to assist with assigned projects.

¨       Identify organizations and associations to collaborate with to grow professional membership.

¨       Work closely with outreach coordinator on ways to attract and retain members/donors.

¨       Manage membership renewal process. Includes querying lists, participation in the design of collateral materials, oversight of the printing/mailing process, oversight of membership acknowledgement process, and follow up with members who do not renew.

¨       Support development director with established and new activities pertaining to fundraising initiatives.

 

HOURS:       40 hours/week, flexible schedule

PAY RATE:   $16.00/hr.

BENEFITS:  

¨       50% employer contribution to healthcare benefits after 3 month probationary period

¨       3% employer match to optional 403(b) retirement account after 3 month probationary period.

¨       Vacation accrued at .0385 hr./hr. worked (approximately 3.3 hr./month)

¨       Sick leave accrued at .0310 hr./hr. worked (approximately 2.7 hr./month)
