The Program Coordinator is a key role within Gorge Owned. This position works closely and collaboratively with the Executive Director and other staff to achieve the organization’s strategic goals related to promoting sustainable practices in the Gorge.
The Program Coordinator will focus on two main program areas:
•GO! Solar: This is a pilot project launched in June 2014 with support from a Northwest Solar Communities grant designed to increase the number of grid-tied residential solar systems installed in the Gorge. The Program Coordinator plays a lead role in implementing and evaluating this program.

•Clean Energy Works: Gorge Owned provides local market outreach to promote Clean Energy Works (CEW), a whole-home energy efficiency program that provides homeowners with a free home energy assessment, attractive financing, a streamlined home improvement process, and instant rebates to help improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

Salary / Pay Rate:$12-$14/hour

Required Skills and Abilities:•Ability to recognize and ask for help when needed. •Experience using Salesforce to manage donors and/or other key relationships. •Experience using Facebook, Instagram and other social media to promote a product, service, or cause.
Qualifications:•Strong people skills (genuinely like people, enjoy and seek out opportunities to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of people). •Knowledge of renewable energy concepts and how they apply to businesses and individuals. •Experience selling goods or services in a for-profit or nonprofit setting. •Experience leading a community education, outreach and/or marketing program. •High level of organization and ability to multi-task effectively. •Public speaking experience, comfortable presenting to groups of 5 to 50 people. •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. •Ability to identifying priorities, develop and execute a work plan without much
direct supervision. •Experience coordinating event logistics. •Strong computer skills, including mastery of Word, Excel, and google apps platform
