The Power of the Human Brain

The human brain is responsible for an individual's every thought, emotion and action. For decades, understanding of the brain was based largely on supposition. Now, with tools that can measure brain activity in novel ways, brain health has emerged as a new frontier in research and the topic has captured the public's imagination. On September 18, City Club welcomes clinical neuropsychologist Paul Nussbaum who will provide an overview of brain structure, describe science's new brain-related discoveries and explain how this knowledge is impacting society. Participants will also learn which activities and lifestyles can best promote brain health throughout life.
