JOB TITLE: Vice President of Community Relations and Diversity Programs

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for creating strategies to recruit enough volunteers to serve 6,000 children by 2013 and meet annual benchmark goals. She/he is responsible for driving strategic growth through the cultivation, and support of 1) corporations 2) faith-based organizations 3) universities 4) civic clubs and other organizations that can provide volunteer and financial resources. The director will supervise the recruitment team. He/she will be responsible for the development and execution of the African American, Latino and Native American Mentoring Program plans, and for insuring implementation of agency-wide training, policies and procedures recommended by the African American, Latino and Native American Mentoring Councils. This position is a leadership position within the organization, sharing responsibility for the planning and success of the entire agency.

Qualifications

1.      A master’s degree in human services, public administration, or related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree with eight years of work experience may be considered as a substitute.

2.      Two or more years successful experience supervising full-time staff and volunteers in public relations, community outreach or community organizing. Demonstrated leadership qualities, ability to inspire staff and nurture a team-oriented work culture. Seeks and hires strong and talented staff; operates with openness and receptivity to feedback.

3.      Values diversity at all levels and has experience leading programs or outreach in diverse communities.

4.      Experience with planning, reporting and data analysis.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000

JOB TITLE: Community Relations and Diversity Program Director

JOB SUMMARY:  This position will be responsible for driving program growth in the African American, Latino and Native American communities through the cultivation, and support of partnerships with volunteer-rich organizations. He/she will work with culturally specific mentoring councils to train volunteers, outreach to families, hold culturally-specific match activities, raise funds for these programs, and make program policy recommendations to better serve diverse communities. 

 

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree with four years of work experience. Demonstrated success in public relations, community outreach or community organizing to achieve results. Values diversity at all levels and has experience working in diverse communities.

JOB TITLE: Regional Director Job Description

 

JOB SUMMARY:  The primary functions of the Regional Director are to provide leadership, outreach, fund development, and direction to the mentoring programs in Washington and Clackamas counties, phasing in Marion County by 2011. The initial period of employment will include some direct service. The Director will be responsible for the supervision of the on site staff, volunteers, and interns. This position will work collaboratively with the community relations staff, fund development staff, and program supervisors to ensure high quality program outcomes and adequate resources to achieve those outcomes. This is a high performance position requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

 

Qualifications
