position summary:

The Arc runs a provider organization that contracts with customers (adults with disabilities) of Support Service Brokerages. Each customer has identifiable and individual goals that the organization will strive to meet in the supports provided. These goals can be of a household, social, or community nature. Skills Trainers will work 1:1 with customers to provide specific supports towards their goal. Supports can occur in the customer's home and/or community. Skills Trainer will also keep documentation per visit according to Medicaid standards. Training to be provided by The Arc.

Salary / Pay Rate:Competitive wage, plus benefits package. Flexible hours, part-time work available.
Required Skills and Abilities:- The ability to work with minimal supervision to provide supports as outlined in the customer's Individualized Support Plan, and the ability to market yourself to metro Brokerages - The ability to communicate effectively with adults with disabilities - Adhere to the requirements of being a Mandatory Abuse Reporter, safeguarding confidentiality and customer's personal information, and adhere to positive behavior supports. - Display creativity and analytical thinking when providing supports to a customer - Ability to follow written and verbal directions, and keep required documentation.
Qualifications:- Successfully pass a Criminal History Check - Possess one year of experience working with DD population.
