Help plant trees at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge

What: Join us to plant native willow stakes along Gee Creek at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Our planting efforts will help improve stream health and create wildlife habitat. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Please wear waterproof shoes and dress for the weather. No experience necessary, just enthusiasm to enhance the environment! All ages welcome. People under 18 years of age must have parents sign their volunteer service agreement (available the day of the event, or online at http://www.fws.gov/ridgefieldrefuges/ridgefield/getinvolved.html).

Where: The Carty Unit of the Ridgefield Refuge: 28908 NW Main Ave., Ridgefield, WA 98642

When: Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 9 am – 1 pm. Rain or shine.
