Remove ivy at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge

What: Want to help manage invasive plants at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge? Join us as we access remote parts of the Refuge to cut and pull ivy from trees. This is a great opportunity to see parts of the Refuge that are not accessible to the general public. No experience necessary, just enthusiasm to enhance the environment! All ages welcome. People under 18 years of age must have parents sign their volunteer service agreement (available the day of the event, or online at http://www.fws.gov/ridgefieldrefuges/ridgefield/getinvolved.html).

Where: The River S Unit Kiosk (beginning of auto tour route) of Ridgefield Refuge: S Hillhurst Rd. and Ridgefield NWR, Ridgefield, WA 98642.

When: Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 9 am – 1 pm. Rain or shine.
