The Program Assistant provides professional support to senior consultants delivering organizational and leadership development services to nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and values-driven businesses. S/he works with project teams to ensure that high-quality work is done in a timely, cost-effective manner. Specific responsibilities vary from project to project, but typical assignments might include: Conducts primary and secondary research on a variety of questions and issues Organizes and synthesizes data for analysis and report writing Participates in interviews, focus groups, and other processes to capture key data Drafts summaries from a variety of information sources Proofreads and edits reports for content, clarity, and accuracy Prepares tables, graphs, figures, and displays for reports and presentations Anticipates important information or ideas that may be missing
Expectations Outstanding communication skills, including: Excellent listening skills Ability to digest information into salient core content Ability to write well, often under deadline pressure Ability to gather information effectively through personal and phone interviews and secondary research Ability to edit and proofread unfamiliar information Ability to read and skim information to identify critical information Ability to connect well with people, including some who are quirky and challenging Excellent critical thinking skills, including ability to contribute to high-level conversations about difficult and sometimes confusing topics. Well organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure. Desire to work in teams with other professionals. Commitment to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Great personality who contributes to a vibrant company culture. Flexibility for work schedule within an expected 40-hour week. Evening and weekend meetings are occasionally a part of the workload. Strong facility with office equipment and technology; near-mastery of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred. Bilingual capabilities (especially in Spanish) is a valuable addition.

Compensation Salaried full-time position. Salary range: $36,000 - $44,000 plus health/dental benefits. Pay commensurate with education, experience, and anticipated contribution to the company. Generous vacation, holiday, and sick leave benefits.
