Mission

Graduate education for the nonprofit sector

Description

The Executive MBA in Nonprofit Management is designed for nonprofit executives with at least 3 years of managerial/executive experience or comparable experience within the for-profit sector. The program combines the best managerial and leadership skills taught in our traditional MBA with the specialized content necessary to successfully manage the nonprofit organization of the 21st century. It allows students to obtain foundational skills in quantitative methods, finance, financial and managerial accounting through the use of self-tutorials, followed by 9 hours of coursework in values perspective courses and 9 hours of managerial tools coursework. The nonprofit curriculum consists of courses in nonprofit accounting, finance, marketing, and management, as well as social entrepreneurship and program evaluation. The program culminates with a capstone experience, a nonprofit field project.
