OMA Awards Gala- Give Peace a Dance!

The Oregon Mediation Association is sponsoring the “Give Peace a Dance!” Awards Gala on Thursday, March 18th, from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. at the Tiffany Center Ballroom, 1410 SW Morrison in Portland.

The Gala will honor outstanding individuals who have made special contributions to the field of mediation and conflict resolution in Oregon and will raise funds to further the mission of the Oregon Mediation Association (OMA). OMA is a nonprofit membership organization committed to the development, support and advocacy of mediation in the State of Oregon.

The evening will include: presentations of the OMA Awards of Excellence, light dinner and a dessert buffet, dancing and a silent auction. The Gala will include a 1970s theme and décor.

The Awards Gala is open to the public. Purchase of tickets in advance is highly recommended. Tickets are $40.00 per person or $300 for a table of 8. Tickets are available for purchase on the Oregon Mediation Association website (www.omediate.org) or by calling (503) 872-9775.

Mediation is a way of resolving a dispute in which a mediator, an impartial person, helps people discuss their concerns and, if possible, reach a voluntary agreement. Mediators help people think about their individual needs and interests, clarify differences with another person, and find common ground.
