Oregon Historical Society

The Oregon Historical Society's mission is preserving and interpreting Oregon's past in thoughtful, illuminating, and provocative ways. We fulfill our mission through our research library, museum exhibits, school tours, and public programming. OHS holds the largest collection of Oregon history in the country, and its vast resources are available to everyone, including students, historians, journalists, and genealogists. The Oregon History Museum is home to the award winning exhibit Oregon My Oregon, and hosts a diverse array of traveling exhibits that educate the public on a variety of topics.
