position summary:

Provide direction and analysis of education programming to guide OFB efforts in addressing the root causes of hunger. Develop and facilitate cross branch/department /functions to support programs and increase collaboration and communication. Facilitate cohesive team approach to produce effective “learner centered” teaching models for Learning Gardens and Nutrition Education. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience or equivalent in nutrition education, garden education, health education, community education or related field. Additional education may be substituted for experience, and educational qualifications may be waived depending on work history. • Experience with program impact planning, management, and interactive skills-based learning systems. • Experience conducting program evaluation: return on investment, logic models, constituency feedback. • Strategic thinker with ability to interpret prevailing environmental factors, distill multi-year vision into annual planning and inspire enthusiasm and support among stakeholders.
