Janus Youth Programs has the following positions available. Janus is a
nonprofit agency providing community-based services, including residential
and shelter care, to youth referred by OYA and/or DHS, as well as homeless
and street-dependent youth. We operate facilities in Oregon and in SW
Washington. Services also include alternative education (Lents Education
Center) and an Urban Agricultural program. We are an agency that values

Changes Case Manager/Residential Advocate (Internal) needed with our
Changes/Bridge House to provide case management within the program, at
community locations, and on-site in participants' apartments. This position
works with youth who are transitioning out of a transitional living program
(or have transitioned) as a Case Manager and serves as a Residential
Advocate for current residents. Preferred experience will include
experience with street-dependent youth, knowledge of juvenile justice and
youth services systems, and CADC or experience with alcohol and
drug-involved youth. Spanish fluency is also preferred. Driving is
required for this position so must meet Agency's driving approval
guidelines. Beginning pay is $10.88/hour to start; excellent benefits.

Overnight Residential Advocate needed at Bridge House. This is an overnight
position involving Thursday - Sunday overnights plus a Wednesday evening
house meeting (4-8:00 p.m.). This position is responsible for supervising
the overnight routines, crisis management, maintaining program structure,
and assuring a safe living environment for residents residing in a
transitional living program. Prior experience working with high-risk
adolescents and knowledge of issues impacting homeless/street-dependent
youth are preferred. Starting pay is $10.50/hour; excellent benefits.

Family Counselor (Part-time) needed with our Harry's Mother (Runaway Youth
Services Program) to work Monday-Wednesdays (generally noon - 8:00 p.m.).
This position is resonsible for providing counseling and support to
adolescents and their families and working with them to access needed
services. The person filling this position will participate in regular
service coordination/planning meetings and will receive regular clinical
supervision from qualified/contracted sources. Master's Degree in
psychology, social work or counseling and at least 3 years experience
working with families is required. Licensure in psychology, counseling,
social work or related field is preferred. Position does involve driving so
must meet Agency's driving critiera. Beginning pay is $1400/month and
position is eligible for pro-rated benefits, including paid time off.

Outreach Specialist needed in Vancouver, Washington, to provide crisis
intervention services, information and referral services, and to assist
youth ages 15-24 in eliminating/overcoming potential barriers to services.
The purpose of this position is to engage and develop professional, trusting
relationships with youth who may be reluctant to access services and to
street-entrenched youth in order to transition them off the streets into
safe, stable housing. The position is a combination of street-based
outreach and outreach conducted within a drop-in center working directly
with homeless and street-dependent youth. Requires experience (personal,
volunteer and/or paid) with street youth and youth involved in sex work,
substance use/abuse and/or a history of mental health issues; experience in
counseling/case management of youth who are reluctant to engage in services;
and experience demonstrating ability to successfully build and maintain
rapport and trust with youth. Position does require driving an Agency
vehicle so must meet Agency's driving approval guidelines. Beginning wages
is $11.50/hour; excellent benefits. Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:30

Overnight Direct Care Specialist needed to work Friday and Saturday
overnights (20 hours per week) at a residential facility serving youth
referred to residential treatment by the Oregon Department of Human
Services. This position will provide supervision of overnight/early morning
routines, monitoring client and facility throughout the night. The position
will also collect, enter and file program data, both electronically and
"hard-copy." Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling or related field
or 2 years related experience is preferred. Beginning wage is $9.75/hour;

Overnight Skills Trainer needed full-time at Imani House to provide
supervision and care for male adolescents who are referred for residential
treatment by Oregon's Department of Human Services. This position provides
quality youth care and close supervision of clients and facility during
overnight and early morning hours. The position also collects, enters, and
files electronic and hard-copy program data and reports. Bachelor's Degree
in social services field or 2 years related experience is preferred.
Assigned shift will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday overnights; beginning

Relief Workers

Relief Workers are needed to fill-in for regular staff who are on vacation,
ill, attending trainings, or are otherwise unavailable. Currently there is
specific need for relief workers at:

Substitute Crisis Intake Specialists are needed with our Harry's Mother
Program. The positions provide referral, initial case coordination and
advocacy for youth accessing the runaway and homeless youth system, as well
as youth referred by police. Crisis Intake Specialists II also provide
back-up support in answering the Child Abuse Crisis and Information hotline
during designated times and document all calls. Must be able to work
overnights, weekends and/or holidays. Bachelor's Degree in social service
field or equivalent education, training and experience is required; at least
one year experience in a setting requiring the identification and assessment
of the needs of adolescents is preferred. Driving is required for the
position. Beginning pay is $10-$10.50/hour (depending on whether CIS II

Substitute Mentor/Direct Care staff needed at our Annex I & II programs to
provide support, guidance and supervision to males ages 18-24 who are
re-entering the community for a structured residential setting. Must be
able to work (awake) overnight shifts. Driving preferred but not required.
