Nitty Gritty Dirt! Committee

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Committee seeks to support, network and facilitate the emergence and success of:

  • Bioregional Social and Environmental Sustainability Efforts,
  • Nonprofits,
  • Community Organizations
  • Change Agents.  

We do this through providing creative and collaborative tools, educational and timely information, networking resources, trainings and more.  The online presence of this portion of CNRG can be found at www.thedirt.org  The Nitty Gritty Dirt Committee is looking for members with an interest and background in:

  • environmental and social issues
  • community organizing and building

and one or more of the following:

  • web development and/or editing (drupal)
  • project management/coordination
  • grantwriting and or fundraising
  • outreach and volunteer coordination/management

Responsibilities (not necessarily all of the below):

  • Conduct and facilitate outreach and networking to nonprofits, community organizations, neighborhood associations, sustainability efforts and community organizers to connect them to each other and to CNRG/The Dirt!
  • With guidance from the Board, increases CNRG and www.thedirt usage and maintain CNRG's relationships.
  • Explore future development and uses of the Nitty Gritty Dirt committee and www.thedirt.org for members.
  • Collaborate with other CNRG committees to achieve the goals of the organization.
  • Attend monthly meetings.
  • Provide project support, management and facilitation as projects arise.
  • Contribute, write and/or find useful content for www.thedirt.org
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and improvements to www.thedirt.org
