Walk to the Top of Scenic Rocky Butte
Base to Butte Kicks Off on May 3
Sponsored by a grant from Central Northeast Neighbors small neighborhood grants program and the Banfield Pet Hospital, Base to Butte is a new not-to-miss community event taking place on Saturday, May 3 at Hancock Park (NE 90th and Tillamook).
The event starts with a community fair that runs from 10am-2pm, and walkers can register to participate in the 3.5-mile loop walk from the park up to the top of scenic Rocky Butte. This is a drop-in event and a great way to get a little exercise, soak of some splendid views of Portland and the Gorge, and help support neighborhood capacity-building.

Help Children First Honor Moms and Dads
Hello CNRG,
Have you ever read a Mother's or Father's day card and thought..."I could do better than that."
Well now is your chance!
Children First is creating a series of electronic Mother's & Father's Day cards and we need your help to create a heart warming message for the cards.
We are looking for comments that express the values your loved one has instilled in you that inspire you to support the well-being of Oregon's children. We will be collecting feedback from the community through April 28th and using the suggestions to create a series of Mother's & Father's Day cards that can be sent via email.
