From the earliest days of Chicano theatre comes this raucous and unpredictable satire in which a sellout son returns home with a grand scheme to move his family out of the barrio and into the American dream. It has taken six years to vindicate the right to habeas corpus and still the court battles rage on. Bernie Casey, attorney and mediator, will talk about his representation of three detainees and then invite you to take a leap of imagination and consider what might have been different had it been possible to resolve these issues through good faith mediation.

Student seeking nonprofit work this summer
My name is Anya Adams and I am currently a sophomore majoring in biomechanical engineering at Stanford University and am interested in interning with a non profit organization this summer. Stanford University offers a special program through the Haas Community Service Center, that allows students that qualify for federal work study to work for a non profit organization for a minimal cost ($1.20 an hour) to that organization. Although my major screams technical work, I have volunteered and worked for nonprofit organizations in the past, and am looking forward to working for a nonprofit organization this summer. My email is [email protected], let me know if your organization is interested in hiring me this summer.
