12/1 Mercy Corps NW Seminar - Why Businesses Need Social Media

Tuesday, December 1st, 6:00-7:00pm.

Social media is all the rage these days, but lots of people feel confused and resistant to what social media is and why they need it for their businesses. The technology is intimidating and businesses don't always see the value of incorporating social media into their marketing, on top of everything else they are doing. Sound familiar? This session explores what social media is and why businesses need to start using it, and most importantly how to automate your social media marketing presence so that you still have time to focus on what's important: taking care of your business.

* What social media is: it's more than just Facebook or Twitter!

* Why businesses need social media to market their brand online.

Volunteering

Come Sell Christmas Trees for A Good Cause

L'Arche Nehalem, a non-profit community, is seeking volunteers for our 20th Annual Christmas Tree Benefit Sale. Our trees are locally grown and freshly cut. We feature Noble and Douglas firs with sizes to fit every home. Selling trees for L'Arche sends people home with a beautiful Christmas tree and, at the same time, supports a great cause.

All proceeds from the purchase of these holiday trees go directly to support life in L'Arche homes. L'Arche Nehalem is a non-profit, faith based organization that provides lifelong family homes for people with developmental disabilities. Caregivers live in community and share life with those with disabilities, creating nurturing, rich and meaningful lives for all.
