Say ‘I Love You’ By Planting Trees this Saturday with Friends of Trees
Spend a few hours of your Valentine’s Weekend planting some trees to show your love for NE Portland and Sherwood! Friends of Trees will provide morning refreshments, gloves, and tools, as well as guidance from experienced volunteer crew leaders. We just ask that you wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
PORTLAND This is the Friends of Trees’ annual hosted event – a guaranteed good time! Meet us at our office at 3117 NE MLK by 8:45am for coffee and doughnuts. Our new mascot will be making an appearance and there will be food and beverages provided after the planting for all volunteers. Parking is plentiful on the side streets or consider taking Bus #6 which stops right outside our door.

Come join us for a viewing of the documentary: Farmingville, and a discussion following the film. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Farmingville is a documentary about the shocking hate-based attempted murders of two Mexican day laborers that catapulted a small Long Island town into the national headlines, unmasking a new front line in the border wars: suburbia.
From Corner to Center events are sponsored in part by: the Collins Foundation, Abelard Foundation, CCHD, and the Office of Neighborhood Involvement's Small Neighborhood Grants Program.
Hope to see you there!
