Humans, Energy and the Earth: Green Markets and Environmental Entrepreneurship
Environmentalists have historically used preservation and regulation as their two primary tools for solving environmental problems. More recently, the use of markets - which often reduce costs and stimulate innovation - have been added to their tool kit.
On February 19, Margie Gardner, Chief Executive Officer of the non-profit Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF), will illuminate how markets can engage people and businesses in restoring our planet. More specifically, she will share examples of how, through entrepreneurial and innovative strategies, people have tackled problems ranging from acid rain to energy generation and conservation.

Thursday, February 25th from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the East Portland Community Center (740 SE 106th Ave. Portland, OR 97216).
