SOUTHEAST PORTLAND - ROSE Community Development Corp. marks its 18th year of serving Outer Southeast Portland with its annual Donor Breakfast on Thursday, Oct. 7.

This year's theme -- "Hope on the Horizon" - reflects ROSE'S achievements over the past year despite the turmoil in the financial and housing markets. The event, a fund-raiser for the non-profit affordable housing agency, will be held in OMSI's Market Café beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The Body Trust Network is a monthly workshop dedicated to supporting Health at Every Size (HAES), a truly sustainable model of health and wellness. Each workshop incorporates movement, art and dialogue to explore variety of topics from a HAES perspective.

Work for Art is hitting the ground running for the 2010-11 campaign, which officially launches this week with Greg Ness, president and CEO of The Standard, as honorary chair. Presentations are getting underway in workplaces throughout the region, and the new campaign brochure is now available online at www.workforart.org. At the end of the workshop there will be a drawing and one lucky participant will go home with the chicken coop.
