InFARMation (and Beer!) next Tuesday - Metro Urban and Rural Reserves

InFARMation (and Beer!) is from 5:30-8:30pm at Roots Organic Brewery's Event Space on SE 7th Ave.  Admission is always free, and beers are only $2.50!

Friends of Family Farmers is teaming up with 1000 Friends of Oregon next Tuesday, August 11th, to provide an opportunity to learn more about why our closest local farmland may be threatened. In the coming months, Metro and the counties of Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington will jointly designate which land will be protected as farmland and which land will be developed as part of the urban growth boundary (UGB), effective for the next 40-50 years.  Come learn more about the issues and hear directly from affected farmers, including local farmer rockstar Laura Masterson from 47th Ave. Farm and farmer Greg Malinowski from Malinowski Farm.  For additional information on urban and rural reserves, go here.  For more details on InFARMation (and Beer!), visit this page.  Hope to see you there!
