Introducing the new racc.org
The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) launched a new and improved website today. The site, www.racc.org, was built in-house using a colorful new design provided by Davison/Blackheart and back-end technology powered by the open-source Drupal content management system.
The new website immediately employs some useful new features, with room to expand and add more interactive tools in the weeks and months to come. Among the new features launching today:
· An RSS feed of all news, announcements, opportunities and advocacy alerts.
· Lists of opportunities or news items now show the title, dates posted/updated, any deadlines, and a small “teaser” of the content with a link to the full story, making it easier to sift through long lists of items.
· Handy links to easily share timely posts on Facebook, or recommend/bookmark them on Digg, de.licio.us, Google Bookmarks, and others.
· An improved Search function, with advanced search capabilities to come.
Overall, RACC focused on reorganizing volumes of content to make it easier for visitors to find and share information, to streamline the menus and to group related content together for a cleaner look and a more efficient overall experience. Users are invited to share their suggestions and other feedback by contacting [email protected].
