I have thirty years of experience leading and building organizations, organizing communities, facilitating groups and training leaders. I tailor all project strategies to meet your specific needs and to strengthen your organization. My strongest skills lie in facilitation, writing, and training. I specialize in the areas of planning, communication, leader development and fund-raising. (1) Planning: ~~Strategic, business, fund-raising, and staff/board development plans that are practical and realistic with clear steps for implementation. ~~Facilitation of small and large groups using a process that will develop teams, result in decisions and produce relevant product. (2) Communication: ~~Message platforms, elevator speeches and other communication tools to raise awareness of your work and motivate involvement. ~~Case statements that convincingly state your value and inspire interest. (3) Leader Development: ~~Board development, including training, recruitment, policies and involvement in fund-raising. ~~Staff development, including coaching and team-building. ~~Training in facilitation, collaborations, grant-writing, donor fund-raising, advocacy and board roles. ~~Coordination of hiring processes and service in interim staff positions. (4) Fund-Raising: ~~Grant-writing (I have written a few hundred). ~~Foundation prospect research. Over a decade of consulting, I have worked with more than 80 organizations, including non-profits, local governments and state agencies. My non-profit clients include public policy advocacy groups, social services agencies, multi-issue coalitions, health organizations, community development corporations, religious organizations, environmental groups, and school programs.
