position summary: | The Right Brain Initiative is seeking a volunteer office intern to work with the Program Manager, Program Specialist and Outreach Specialist helping with organizational tasks, meeting and event preparation, and some outreach opportunities. |

Required Skills and Abilities: | • Work with the Program Specialist to organize collections of program documentation, as well as scheduling, resources and equipment needed. • Provide support to the Program Specialist for Right Brain meetings including meeting preparation/setup, assembling materials, note taking, and producing minutes • Provide support for meeting logistics and prepare materials for seminars, workshops and other special meetings, as needed. • Provide support for general office needs for the initiative, maintaining paper and electronic files and records on all aspects of the program and its development, supplies and print materials. The ideal candidate will have office and/or non-profit experience, proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel, strong oral and written communication skills, skill in writing clear concise accounts of meetings, skill in coordinating workloads and deadlines, skill in organizing important information, ability to work quickly and accurately. This internship is ideal for someone interested in program development, arts education, elementary education, program evaluation, non-profit management, event management, and/or catering. Hours are flexible, although some daytime and evening hours both will be required. Intern will be asked to commit to a minimum of 5 hours per week for at least 16 weeks. |
