Mission
Latino Network strives to promote the meaningful participation of Latinos in decisions affecting their lives.
Description
JUNTOS APRENDEMOS / TOGETHER WE LEARN: A a school-based early childhood literacy program for low income Latino children aged 3-5 and their parents.
SUMMER ACADEMY: Program working with gang-affected youth to build social and leadership skills thorugh cultural and educational curricula, weekly tutoring and mentoring support.
CONCILIO SOMOS EL FUTURO / WE ARE THE FUTURE: A network of youth providers working to reduce overrepresentation of Latino youth in the juvenile justice utilizing a culturally specific system of reintegration for adjudicated youth.
DIVERSITY & CIVIC LEADERSHIP ACADEMY: A joint project of Latino Network and the Center for Intercultural Organizing that train local leaders about how to access government and their elected officials, and to advocate on behalf of their communities.
PUENTES / BRIDGES ORGANIZING PROJECT: A network of neighbors working to improve their neighborhood livability through police and immigration dialogues and neighborhood participation.
ADVOCACY: Latino Network advocates for projects and issues and institutional changes that improve the lives of Latinos in Portland and Multnomah County.
