Caravan Tribal Belly Dance Collective
Sky in the Road
Dances of Universal Peace
Come early for a vegetarian potluck dinner and old time music with the Stumptown Sawyers. A fine selection of great quality used books will be on hand to browse and buy to read on a long winter's night, or give as very affordable holiday gifts.
After dinner, we'll share a candlelight ritual, myth, poetry, music, and dances. Tribal belly dance from the Caravan Dance Collective, the incredible music of Sky in the Road, and Dances of Universal Peace will open our hearts.
Friends, family, neighbors, activists, artists, musicians, dancers, dreamers, vision-keepers, and Earth-lovers of all persuasions are invited. Join us in this season of mystery, reverence, and awe to celebrate Earth’s celestial dance through the darkness, toward the light!
Notes: To honor our friends of the Meeting House, in the spirit of the dharma, this is an alcohol-free event, so please save imbibing for other celebrations. Children are welcome, though little ones may find contemplative ritual and ceremony a bit trying (parents are the best judge of this!).
TIP: To avoid “Peacock Lane” holiday traffic on Stark, try these routes: From north: take E. Burnside to SE 47th,; go south on 47th to Stark, then right to 4312 SE Stark. From south, take Hawthorne east to 49th and 49th north to Stark, then left on to 4312 Stark.
