Volunteer English tutor for Centro Cultural in Cornelius

Centro Cultural in Cornelius needs volunteers for the English as a Second Language program. Materials and training are provided. The committment would be 2 hours per week mornings (Tuesday or Thursday), or evenings (Monday or Wednesday). Spanish is not required, but it is helpful sometimes.

Volunteers work with a group of 8-10 Spanish-speaking adults. The focus is on conversational English and life skills our Hispanic neighbors need to live and work successfully in Oregon.

The learners are very eager and greatly appreciate your time and energy.

In January 2010 we have 90 learners registered for the evening classes. Many more people want to take the classes, but there are not enough volunteers.
