Director of Development & Marketing

Wordstock, a literary art and education organization in Portland that stages the city’s annual book and literary festival, is seeking a Director of Development & Marketing. The new position will help ensure that Wordstock meets its annual earned and contributed income goals. The position will be responsible for Wordstock’s annual fundraising campaign, including individual contributions, major gifts, and corporate and institutional gifts, as well as for planning and producing fundraising events and donor receptions. The Director will also help develop the marketing strategy for the organization in collaboration with the Executive Director, and will be responsible for its implementation, including festival and education program promotion, web and email marketing, social media, public relations, and so on.

The Director of Development & Marketing will report to and work extensively with the Executive Director. He/she will also work regularly with the organization’s Board of Directors.
