SNAP Rural Outreach Organizer

Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon is looking for an organized and highly motivated individual to expand SNAP outreach in rural communities. The SNAP Rural Outreach Organizer will lay the groundwork for outreach in target counties with a special emphasis on seniors. Duties include documenting rural food resources; preparing county fact sheets and cultivating new partnerships. The organizer will also focus on three counties in Oregon for a more in-depth analysis and help develop new strategies to reach households who are eligible but not receiving SNAP.

This is a full-time, temporary position (May 2010 through Sept. 2010).

Compensation: $16/hour
