Volunteer at the Naturescaping for Backyard Habitats Tour
We need volunteers for the Naturescaping for Backyard Habitats Tour on May 15th.
The Backyard Habitat Certification Program, created by Three Rivers Land Conservancy and the Audubon Society of Portland, has partnered with East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District to put on a tour showcasing some of our beautiful certified backyards to educate the community about naturescaping, native and invasive plants, stormwater management, and wildlife habitat. See links below for more information about the program and the tour.
We need volunteers to help check-in visitors at each yard. Shifts are 3 hours, and two people will do each shift. Please contact us at [email protected] if you are interested in helping out.
If you aren’t available to volunteer, you could still come out and see the yards. The tour is free but does require registration: http://www.emswcd.org/workshops-events?func=details&did=146
Thanks!
