Looking for a few good mentors...

Looking for a few good men and women who can spare 1 or 2 hours each week to mentor a young person.   Neighborhood House, Inc. offers volunteer opportunities in North Portland (near St. Johns) and Southwest Portland (Multnomah Village area).

Mentor a youth (ages 7 to 14) for a couple of hours on the weekend or after school by offering low or no-cost activities in the community, along with friendship, support and guidance.  No special skills required.  Volunteers needed immediately. Be a Lunch Buddy to an elementary school student by eating lunch together once a week at school, talking and listening, sharing activities and being supportive.  Volunteers needed for Sept. 2010.
