ROSE CDC seeks Program Intern
Commitment: minimum of 3 months, starting June 2010. 10-15 hours/week, flexible Application deadline: June 4, 2010 Start date: early June 2010 Location: Southeast Portland, SE 122nd Ave and Holgate
Responsibilities • Assist the program coordinator in planning and implementing program projects and activities for youth and families, including: Summer Youth Program, resident gatherings, Shop with a Cop, resident-led planning committee, international dinner, and fundraiser, and other projects. • Maintain effective relationships with diverse residents and volunteers • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications: • Experience working in community organizing, human services or related field. • Experience working with school-age children and families • Respect for diverse cultural, economic and social backgrounds of residents and ability to maintain confidentiality of residents. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects • Effective oral and written communication

Compensation: While this is an unpaid position, it is a great opportunity to experience working in social service and community building.
