What’s In It For You?
As an AmeriCorps member with Impact NW, you'll serve full time at either a SUN/Community School location or at a central office with one of several anti-poverty programs. You'll complete an approximately 11-month AmeriCorps term (from August 2010 - July 2011) with a minimum of 1,700 hours of service.
In exchange, you’ll receive:
* A living allowance of up to $11,800 divided over your term of service (paid monthly) * An education award of $5,350 upon successful completion of your term of service * Loan forbearance on federally subsidized student loans during your term of service * Basic health insurance * Flat-rate transportation stipend * Childcare assistance (if eligible) * An opportunity to:
