Make your own mead!
Another Arctos School offering, where the workshops are always sliding-scale:
Making Medicinal & Delicious Meads!
Sunday, August 1st, 3pm-6pm
Mead – the delicious alcoholic beverage made with honey and yeast – has been consumed for thousands of years for both healing and pleasure. This hands-on class will walk students through the mead-making process using organic, local, and easy-to-find ingredients. We’ll also learn the medicinal qualities of herbs that taste wonderful in meads. One delicious example is Lavender-Rose-Chamomile Mead -- healing herbs and decadent beverage wrapped in one d.i.y. package!
Location: SE Portland. Registration required by 7/30/10 -- email missy -at- arctosschool -dot- org
Cost: $45, sliding scale down to $35.
