Assistant Teacher

One (1) position available; FT, 40 hours/week. 42 weeks/year. Starts ASAP. CDA or A.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field & 2 yrs experience in preschool classroom setting or HS diploma/GED & 4 yrs experience. Assist Head Teacher in the Head Start classroom with planning & setup, meal service, record keeping, bus monitoring. Need good computer skills; good interpersonal skills; ability to routinely lift 50 lbs., bend, twist, stoop and run after children.

Offer is contingent upon results of a post-offer health exam, including a TB test to declare free from communicable disease. As required by contract, periodic re-testing for communicable disease will be scheduled throughout employment.

Offer is also contingent upon the results of a criminal offender information record check and, possibly, fingerprinting. Must be successfully enrolled in Oregon's Child Care Criminal History Registry.
