Volunteer Opportunities at the Media, Arts, and Technology Institute

The Media, Arts, and Technology Institute is looking for classroom volunteers.

MATI is a non-profit agency offering rich arts-media experiences that help Portland’s youth, especially underserved youth, become informed, skilled, literate and compassionate global citizens of tomorrow.

MATI will be running a journalism/newspaper class for about 20 students, grades 5-8. We are looking for classroom volunteers to be positive role models and to assist students with classroom projects. This is a diverse group of 12 Talented and Gifted students and 8 selected others. This class starts Sept. 7th and is 5 days a week from 12:30-1:15. We are looking for volunteers to commit to 2 days a week for 12 weeks at time.
