position summary:

Position: Columbia Riverkeeper is seeking an independent contractor to assist with fundraising and organizational development. The contractor will help develop and implement a donor relations program with an emphasis on individual donor cultivation and retention.

Goals: Increased donor satisfaction and giving. First step of plan is improving communications and fundraising among current members and donors.

Salary / Pay Rate:Contract: $12 to $18 per hour, depending on experience. Approximately $1000 per month for 4 to 6 months available for contract. Possibility of renewal.

Qualifications:Qualifications: 1. Professional, dependable, well organized, motivated and self-directed 2. Understand and support mission of Columbia Riverkeeper 3. Demonstrated track record in fundraising that includes establishing relationships with donors, grassroots donation solicitation, and event planning 4. Experience with membership or client databases. Salesforce experience a plus. 5. Proven ability to establish and maintain strong and on-going relationships with contributors and funders. 6. Strong computer and organizational skills. 7. Understand new media technology tools and social media strategies. Location: The majority of the in-person donor communications will occur in the Portland, OR area so we prefer that the contractor’s office is near Portland.
