Mission
The mission of CASA is to advocate for the best interests of abused, neglected and abandoned children who are under the protection of the Juvenile Dependency Courts of Multnomah and Washington Counties. Our purpose is to secure a safe and permanent family for each child as quickly as possible. We dedicate our resources to recruiting, training and supporting citizen volunteers in order to provide quality advocacy to as many children as we can.
Tagline
Court Appointed Special Adovcates or CASAs are ordinary people from all walks of life who find it in their hearts and calendars to volunteer to help our community's children.
Description
We are community volunteers who are trained to be a voice for abused and neglected children who are living in foster care. We work with kids, families, social service agencies and the courts to help find a safe and permanent home for a child as quickly as possible. CASA Advocates help kids by objectively investigating case details, collaborating with community providers to facilitate & negotiate services, monitoring court progress to ensure compliance by all parties, and speaking up for thier best interests in court and in the community.
