Job Description:

The Employment Specialist provides support and service to adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness that result in a competitive community employment.  Duties include the assessment of client’s employment capabilities, targeting potential jobs, exploring job possibilities in the community, making job placements, providing training assistance as needed and offering continuing support as necessary. 

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a social services field or equivalent is required with a minimum of 3 years of experience assisting adults diagnosed with a severe mental illness or other disabilities to find employment. Experience working in the African American Community a plus.
