St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals

Blessing Animals by the River on St. Francis Day, Saturday, October 4th, 11 a.m. at Milwaukie Waterfront Park. (Parking lot at the water treatment center access road, McLoughlin at Washington Street or in Downtown Milwaukie and walk across McLoughlin to the park).

On St. Francis Day, the clergy of Milwaukie's St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church (est. on the banks of the Willamette in 1851) will bless dogs, cats, Canadian geese, wild fish, and any other creatures that present themselves in this park by the Willamette River (and their human companions). Join us as we all bless all creatures great and small, and give praise to God for all creation!
