Free Screening "King Corn" Documentary

Bridgeport Community Church and Congregation Shir Tikvah are sponsoring a showing of the documentary film "King Corn" on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 4-6 PM at Bridgeport Community Church, 621 NE 76th Ave., Portland.  King Corn examines the social, environmental and health effects of the corn industry with both a light-hearted and serious look at industrial agriculture, corn farming and the American diet.  The film will be followed by a discussion with Curt Ellis, co-producer and co-star of King Corn.  Free buy  donations welcomed.   For more information, email [email protected]."New MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination.
