Human Solutions offers the public a unique opportunity to experience its response to family homelessness at an Open House for the Daybreak Shelter in Portland.

Date:  November 1st

Time:  9:00am – Noon

Location:  12727 SE Market Street, Portland, OR 97216

Light refreshments will be served.

No RSVP needed.

The Daybreak Shelter is a one-of-a-kind day shelter for families (up to 15 individuals at any given time).  At the Daybreak Shelter, families can have a safe, comfortable place to stay – where parents can look for permanent housing options, employment and educational opportunities while their children can play in the indoor and outdoor play areas and receive tutoring. 

Come to this Open House so you can learn about the community’s cost-effective response to homelessness that works – due to a strong network of multi-faith church partnerships that offer continuous night shelter to the families at the Day Shelter.  Families are not required to participate in any faith activities in return for their shelter and care, which makes this partnership especially unique.
