Counselor

Volunteers of America Oregon is seeking a full-time counselor to work with young men returning to the community after incarceration. Position requires CADC II with Bachelor’s or CADC II with 3 additional years experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with substance abuse treatment (particularly harm reduction model), will demonstrate knowledge of criminal behavior and at-risk populations, will excel at documentation, and will be comfortable working in correction/prison settings. Experience with adolescents and/or young adults is preferred. Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation required for regular travel to institutions and outreach. Starting salary $31k-$36k DOE.
