Join the Arctos School for upcoming workshops on using herbs and making home remedies! Classes are sliding scale, so as to be accessible to nonprofiteers and other low-income folks.
Herbs for the Immune System - with Missy Rohs - Thursday, November 20th, 7pm-9pm At this time of year, colds and viruses abound. How can we use herbs to keep the immune system strong and alert? Join us as we sample teas and tinctures while learning about the medicinal properties of Pacific Northwest plants. Location: SE Portland. Making Herbal Cordials - with Missy Rohs - Sunday, December 7th, 1pm-3:30pm Looking for a delicious handcrafted gift to give for the holidays? Or an indulgent treat for yourself? Join us as we learn how to make medicinal herbs into yummy concoctions. Cordials are a delightful way to take a digestif, a tonic, or other remedies. We’ll sample various cordials, and make a love potion to take home! Location: SE Portland. Registration required by Dec. 3rd -- email [email protected]. Cost: $35 (sliding scale available)

Lastly, mark your calendar for the Craft Fair at People's Co-op on December 13. The selection will include some of your favorite creators of stationery, purses, chocolate, paintings, hats, tinctures, and more. In a season of much giving, it's so wonderful to keep it local, no?
