Summit will include Panels and Discussion on Siting, Life Cycle, and Shared Use: • Update on President-Elect Obama’s Economic Stimulus Package for School Facilities • Alternative Financing Methods and Partnerships • Declaring schools as Infrastructure • Hows, Whys, and Savings of Shared Use • Implementing Safe Routes to School and Transportation Efficiencies • Rehabbing for the Next 30 Years and Building New for 50-100 Years
The Summit will conclude with a Reception and first look at CISF’s Proposed Statewide Facility Program and Policies
Join statewide leaders from school districts, local government, and state government, along with experts in sustainability, community development, historic preservation, and housing groups to discuss school siting policy with a view to making it easier to walk and bike to school.
