Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation Department is removing plastic tree protectors from their various planting sites and would like to offer them to the greater metro community. We are hoping to help a group save money by offering a reusable product before we recycle the hard plastics. We also hope we can fulfill a need while finishing up our project responsibilities.

    Mead – the delicious alcoholic beverage made with honey and yeast – has been consumed for thousands of years for both healing and pleasure.  This hands-on class will walk students through the mead-making process using organic, local, and easy-to-find ingredients.  We’ll also learn the medicinal qualities of herbs that taste wonderful in meads.  One delicious example is Lavender-Rose-Chamomile Mead -- healing herbs and decadent beverage wrapped in one d.i.y. package!

We are seeking volunteers to spend three days in beautiful Antelope, Oregon as work crew over Labor Day weekend (Sept.3-6th) for the 7th annual PKU Family Camp. OMSI Science Days Event Volunteer- Free Admission Vouchers for Volunteers!

Join the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) as a Science Days Volunteer!

 

OMSI Needs your help August 12-15th (Thursday- Sunday) for Science Days! Free Admission vouchers will be given for each day you volunteer (to be used on any other day the museum is open). Spots are limited- sign up today!

 

August 12-15 the museum will be open 9:00am-9:00pm and visitors will enjoy a variety of offerings around the museum. This is a major special event that is expected to draw thousands of visitors each day so having additional help will be wonderful!

 

Each day (Aug 12-15) three shifts are available:

 

Shift 1: 8:00am-1:00pm Shift 2: 12:00pm-5:00pm Shift 3: 4:00pm-9:00pm
